India's main share index crossed 19,000 for the first time on Monday on easing concerns of early elections and strong foreign fund flows, with Reliance Industries and Oil & Natural Gas Corp leading the gains.
At 2:44 p.m. or 0914 GMT, the 30-share Sensex was up 3.24 per cent, or 596.26 points, at 19,015.30. It had crossed 18,000 points on last Tuesday.
